arteries, Manhattan's 3-tiered
subway system courses through all
neighborhoods. The senses are
assaulted by the noise and heat
emanating from the machinery of
constant motion that gets people
from place to place. The transit
system demands the complete
focus and self-absorption of its
customers... just to keep going.

Here the unexpected happens.
Here a business executive can stand
next to a chain-draped drug dealer while
they await their next connection.
Here a musician struggles to be
heard.
Here one can pass by the cycle of
life and death.
Here... well never mind,
just keep going.
